Week of 1/06 through 1/11
Nathaniel Young- Nathaniel is a first year wrestler who is quickly falling in love with the sport. He has worked hard and his hard work is starting to show in wins on the mat. Nathaniel is this weeks coaches WOW!
Adrian Jackson- Adrian has grown over the years and has put in some great work. He has worked himself into our Starting Varsity wrestler. He competes to the best of his ability at all times. This is why coaches have selected him as this weeks WOW!
Week of 12/23 through 12/28
Arianna Owens- Arianna is a 2nd year wrestler who has put in a lot of off season time on the mat to improve. Her hard work has not gone unnoticed as she has been wrestling tough and ended up in the finals in Las Vegas placing 2nd out of 39 teams. Arianna is this weeks WOW!
Oliver Ghetes- Oliver has been working hard in the room and during competition. He worked his way on to the Vegas travel team and put in some impressive wins while there. His commitment to his success and the team is why coaches have chosen Oliver for this weeks WOW!
Coach Pasteriza is always putting it all on the line. He is constantly showing up to help both boys and girls put their best foot foraward to find success. This is why he is selected as this weeks COW! (Coach of the week)
Week of 12/15 through 12/21
Layli Farhoumand- Layli is our Varsity 116 pound wrestler who is a first year wrestler. She shows up ready to work with a smile and a notebook to learn. She wrestled tough at the Sierra Linda tournament and placed 2nd overall. She is this weeks WOW!
Joceln Lopez Zarate- Jocelyn is the team Head Manager. She is constantly working on getting the team organized, uniforms clean, matches scored and any other number of things to help the team be successful. She is always giving her all the the team that is why the coaches have selected Joceln for this weeks MOW!(Manager of the Week)
Angei Carrasco- Angie is a first year manager who is always here for the team. She is always going above and beyond to help ensure the teams success. This is why the coaches have chosen Angei to be this weeks MOW! (Manager of the Week)
Week of 12/9 through 12/13
Atticus Drapper- Atticus currently wrestles 138 Varsity. His leadership, hard work, and dedication to his craft and his team is the reason he was selected as WOW
Aicha Laaloui- She wrestles 165 for the girls Varsity team. This is her first year at Slope and first year wrestling and she has clearly jumped all in. Coach's notice that she is always wrestling to win and is always working hard. This is why she was selected as the WOW.
Tennyson Usher-Wrestles for the JV team at Heavy weight. This is his first-year wrestling and he excelling with his hard work, determination, and always seeking to understand mentality. This is why he was selected as the WOW this week.
Jacobo Lopez- Is on the freshman team wrestling in the 120-weight class. Jacobo is always working hard and applying all the skills he has learned in practice and getting better daily. This is why he was selected as the WOW.
Week of 12/2-12/6
Genniss Morris wrestles at 107 for our girls Varsity. Last week she had a combined record of 5-2
After stepping into the varsity lineup, at 106,Tristan went 4-3 at the Liberty tournament to place 6th overall.
Adrian Jackson wrestles at 156 JV for the Vikings. He has been a tough compettetor and putting all aspects of viking wrestling in to effect. He wrestled tough at the Millinium tournamnet on Saturday, leading the way with toughness, and leadership.
Cael wrestles at the 135 weight class for the 9/10 team. He has wrestled tough starting his high school career at 5-0, including wrestling tough at the millennium tournament this last weekend.
